Ground Water Availability in Elbert County - Lifeskills Workshop 7/22/21

Date / Time: 7/22/21 at 6:30pm

Location: Kiowa Creek Community Church Fellowship Hall, 231 Cheyenne St, Kiowa, CO 80117

NOTE: Both July 22 workshops (this one and Home Security) will begin at 6:30 pm and be conducted simultaneously, so choose the one you prefer!

Training Host: Kermit Witherbee, P.G.

Kermit Witherbee, P.G., has over 40 years in the exploration and management of energy resources, including the protection of ground water resources. This workshop will introduce you to the principal aquifers of the County and the various methods used to access the water, with considerations of an extended grid-down. You'll discover the key components of a 'Simple Pump' (submersible pump, drop pipe, sucker rod, and hand pump) and it will be a hands-on opportunity to see how they work. Kermit will also discuss the viability of alternative energy solutions using wind, solar and generators.

To ask questions, reserve a seat or get directions for any of the Lifeskills Workshops, please contact Brenda Atwater, Lifeskills Workshops Coordinator, at bea54@live.com.
