SELF RELIANCE EXPO MISSION: HELP FAMILIES BE PREPARED AND SELF-RELIANT

The SELF RELIANCE EXPO will feature 40+ vendors plus 16 demonstrations/workshops with a wide range of services, products, and information. It is clear that families need to to get ready for whatever may be in our future. Supply chain issues, difficulty getting parts for equipment, lack of available labor, greatly increasing energy prices - not to mention food prices - are all taking a toll on Colorado families. This expo is where you can learn how to get prepared.

Please donate to help improve Elbert County's emergency services! The suggested donation is $10/person. Funds raised through vendor fees, community contributions, and event entry fees/donations will be donated and used to support county emergency services.

Elbert County Community Outreach (ECCO) - 336 COMANCHE ST, KIOWA, CO

ECCO is a non-profit coalition of local community service agencies, businesses, and individuals that partner to identify community needs and provide emergency outreach. The collaboration identifies service gaps and fills those gaps or brings access to resources that an individual organization would not otherwise be able to. Hundreds of local citizens benefit from ECCO services. Special thanks to ECCO for being primary sponsor!

Sunshine Solar - is a small distributor and designer of off-grid living products and systems:  water pumping systems, garden irrigation, livestock watering, off-grid cabins, and solar energy systems.

Colorado Greenhouse Builders - is an Elbert based company specializing in geothermal greenhouses which can provide the opportunity to grow veggies year-round !

EMP Shield -from Burlington, KS will be coming and sharing information on systems which can protect from the effects of an EMP burst, which can harm anything electrical.

Forty Mile Feed - is a local Kiowa store who helps folks be self reliant through the sales of seeds, poultry, bees, and equipment and feed.

Simon CPR Services - teaches people the life saving skills of CPR.

Fires A Blazn - provides expert knowledge on the best woodstove on the market!  This Elbert County based company will help families choose a product which will keep them warm on cold nights!

Colorado Fruitscapes - specializes in successfully growing all kinds of fruit trees and berries in Colorado.  They are great – who doesn’t want good fresh fruit!

Hog Heaven Ranch - A family owned and operated farm located in Elbert County.  They offer all natural antibiotic and hormone free PORK!  They offer many packages and the current special is a quarter pack for a great price.

Five-O-Ranch - Here’s The Beef!  Located in Elbert County, they offer the best grass fed beef, which has less total fat including less unhealthy fats.  It does have good fats like Omega 3s and is richer in vitamins A and E.

Abunda Culture -  Jack Dody has created an off-grid homestead in Colorado and teaches others how!  He also stresses the need for building community and working together.  His collection of old homesteading magazines will be for sale.

Dr. Honeymoon Boysen - The doctor practices natural and bioenergetic medicine and will be giving a workshop presentation entitled: First Aid Remedies and Extended Emergency Preparedness.

Sozo Chiropractic - Located in Castle Rock, CO they will provide information on health and wellness.

Fifth Dimension Mktng - This Utah company offers preparedness products.  Chris Turpin will share information on water purification, air purification, sleep systems, and goldbacks.

Bonnie Yost at 4x4 Healing - Bonnie is a physical therapist, author and speaker.  Her workshop presentation is entitled: How Fear Affects You – The Solution.

Green Thumb Consulting - An new company in Elbert County.  Mike and Kodi Marley provide expert guidance on how to grow gardens successfully in Colorado. Their workshop presentation is entitled: Microgreens and Year Round Growing.

Parker Radio Association - PRA's mission is serving others in promoting amateur radio in the community and providing the training and support required to become an amateur radio operator. They develop, enhance and maintain radio systems that can provide communications that benefit community; and when requested, to assist civil authorities.

Richer Lands Compost - Does your soil produce plants that could use a boost?  Jonathan Whetstine shares how we can transform poor soil into great productive soil through composting. This booth will be placed just outside our building!
