Our Self Reliance Exposition Committee presented Sheriff Tim Norton with $5055.11 – the proceeds earned by our expo event on August 13, 2022. The funds are donated to the Elbert County Sheriff’s Foundation and will be used for lifesaving equipment: AEDs – Automated External Defibrillators and also tourniquet kits.
Many thanks go directly to Sheriff Norton for all his efforts in making the expo a great success! We could not have done it without his help and the assistance of our County Commissioners as well!
ELBERT COUNTY STANDS UP, ECCO, AND “Ready Radio” with John Rush, 560 am KLZ radio were primary sponsors of the 2022 Self Reliance Exposition, held at the fairgrounds in Kiowa, CO.
ECCO - Elbert County Community Outreach, provides services and assistance to those in need. ECCO operates a delightful store in Kiowa with donated objects, books, and clothing. Shop proceeds are used to assist local families. Erica Johnson serves as ECCO’s Executive Director.
